Utah Tech Leader, University Instructor

Please allow me to introduce . . . myself

Welcome to my personal site.  Somehow you've found it, so you might as well spend a few minutes here. This site serves as a main entry point for the various things I have going on. I brand myself as a technology industry leader, a university instructor, and an online course author. Of course, I'm also (and more importantly) a father, husband, son, etc. I grew up and have lived most of my life in the great state of Utah; which means that, if you also live in Utah and happen to be in the tech industry, we may have already met. If we have, I hope we are also connected on LinkedIn.

A leader in the tech industry

I’m the kind of leader who believes that when people are happy, autonomous, supported by a team, and understand how their work contributes, amazing things can happen. Challenges start to be met in creative ways, the flame of innovation is stoked, and the organization benefits greatly. Processes, procedures, project management, and a clear vision are essential tools that help people understand how their work contributes. As a leader, it is my role to provide that structure, to support the team, to remove roadblocks, and to identify and build up other leaders.
